(Part 2)
The next thanksgiving has been established. Daniel is brought in before the king to reveal to the king his dream and its interpretation.
Daniel proceeds to show the king his dream and interpret its meaning. He shares that the dream consists of the strengths and weaknesses of the future kingdoms that will exist after Nebuchadnezzar’ s reign, and what will become of the kingdom in the latter days. A significant part of the interpretation was when Daniel closed out by showing the king, that there will be a time coming, that the God of Heaven’s Kingdom shall be established unto perfection without any threat of destruction (Daniel 2:44); and how the members of God’s kingdom will occupy and manage it; to the intent that God’s Kingdom will dismantle the other kingdoms and its successors, obtaining eternal power, according to Daniel, (Daniel 2:44).
The king’s response was to fall on his face, and to worship Daniel. The king then ordered that Daniel be given an offering along with pleasant things, in honor of his God.
‘’Then the king Nebuchadnazzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.’’ Daniel 2:46
Here is the brief yet potent thanksgiving…
‘’ The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.’’ Daniel 2:47
Look what occurs after this thanksgiving….
‘’Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon’’ Daniel 2:28
Thanksgiving and praise will never cease unto the Lord God Almighty.
